Okay so we need Leaders and betas! So that shall be the first things being auditions. You have 1 week to post your audition post. Then i will choose the winners.

Emberspark gazed over at her former apprentice worriedly, watching as the young cat paced the length of the branch they had been resting on. There were only a few things that disturbed the young legacy, Eclipsefeather, and Emberspark knew it had to do with the fact that the new warrior's grandfather, Clearstar, was dying and there was nothing left for her grandmother, Spottedheart, to do in order to save her loved mate. Her mother, Goldenflight, and father, Snappingtooth, were powerless as well. The dying cat had made it unclear as to who would lead them if this were to happen, but his children were forbidden from doing it.
That thought crossed Eclipsefeather's mind and she looked at the older female.

"If the rules say my parents cannot lead, then what does it say about grandchildren?" Her voice was calm and she was level-headed, not frantic as the others were, panicked because they were afraid they were going to die.

Emberspark blinked in surprise. "I know the rules well and I'm positive it says nothing against the grandchildren leading. However, Eclipsefeather--"

"I know I might be pushing it a little, but we need a leader." She said, her tone even. "This clan will fall if we don't have one and the rains are coming soon. Our home will flood if we have no one to direct us. Will you at least let me try?"

Emberspark was shocked. This leopard had only become a warrior a few moons ago and, here she was, trying to help lead her small clan. A smile graced the older cat's lips. "I won't stop you." Eclipsefeather brightened and bounded off. Emberspark wondered if she did the right thing, but she was positive there was a trait in the female that showed true leadership. Not just one, but more than one. She had definitely gotten that from her grandfather.

Eclipsefeather joined the remainder of her family in the small cove of the roots of a tree. They were surrounding Clearstar, talking worriedly. Spottedheart was very old, on the verge of dying herself, and didn't have the right judgement to lead them when the floods were coming. She walked over to them, no hint of falseness in her voice when she spoke.

"Come on. We need to get to higher ground now." She said, causing them to look at her. "We need to leave now, before the floods come."

Goldenflight and Snappingtooth stared at their only child for several minutes before actually saying something, her mother first. "She is right... No one else can do this and Clearstar didn't believe in a Deputy." Her father nodded in agreement, "There isn't much we can do."

Spottedheart dragged her old body over to her granddaughter, licking her cheek in a friendly way. "Clearstar would have been happy to call you his Deputy. I certainly believe in you, so lead the way."

Emberspark wasn't too far when she heard this, plainly seeing the happiness on her former apprentice's face when that trust was put in her. She watched as Eclipsefeather began giving directions with the authority of a real leader and she soon joined the order, doing exactly as she was told.

Iceflower looked at her apprintece, Dovepaw, uneasily. The Clan was falling apart faster than ants on a log. Their leader, Waterstar, was nearly dead, and so was the Deputy. Rushingwater, Iceflower's sister, was pacing back and forth. Her mate, Graydust, muttered something to herself. Suddenly a small, weak yowl sounded from the Hightree. "Cats of CheetahClan, gather-" she coughed "-at the hightree for a Clan meeting." Waterstar's golden pelt was pale with sickness. "I have choosen the new leader, and deputy." Rushingwater, Graydust, Iceflower, and Snow-wing looked up, ears up and pricked. "Rushingwater will be the new deput-" suddenly the leader fell. The medicien cat, Silverwolf, stepped forward. She looked at the lieing cheetah. "She had a coma," she annoced. "She is no longer alive." The old deputy, Ironclaw, limped out. "The leader... said..." he paused to sneezed, "...that Dangerclaw will be the new leader." He, even though not accepted by StarClan, was half-leader. He was in the Clan known a bit as Ironstar, but not much. Dangerclaw let out a yowl of triumph, then silenced as Ivysteam and Hallowpaw glared in him. "We don't want Dangerclaw!" Ivysteam was the first to speak. "Iceflower, then," the deputy whispered, about to fall into a coma like Waterstar.
"My mentor is Iceflower!" yowled Dovepaw triumphly, mewling to all the Clan's apprinteces.

What you are Auditioning for: Leader of Leopardclan but will take deputy position

Nightcloud was doing a border patrol along the Lionclan border with her best friend Goldenpelt and her apprentice Ashpaw. She was leading it and had told her clanmates to check for any scents inside the borders and renew them. The clans problems were bugging her there was no leader and no deputy and someone had to take charge. She continued thinking until the scent of Lionclan came to her, fresh and strong. She panicked for a moment Have I wandered into Lionclan territory? but she quickly realized that this was her territory and there were the scents of Lionclan warriors inside her territory. She curled her lips in a snarl and turned to see the rest of the patrol come with the same news.

"Lionclan have moved the border" Goldenpelt stated her tail tip twitching in frustration. "It seems like they think they can do whatever they want because they are bigger than us." Nightcloud thought for a moment, she couldnt notify a leader or a deputy because her clan had none. Her patrol looked to her wondering what they should do. It looked like she would have to take the lead here. "Well the first thing we should do is move the markers back to where they were originally, and make them stronger, we will then set up extra patrols along this border and will mention this at the next gathering. We must refuse to be pushed around by the other clans because of our lack of deputy and leader. We will make a stand!" she said confidently and smoothly like she was leader.

She arrived back at camp with her patrol and noted the hunting patrol Eaglefeather had sent out earlier. Goldenpelt told Ashpaw that he could have first pick from the freshkill and followed her over to help her notify the senior warriors with their current issue. They all agreed with her decision and the topic changed to what it had been for awhile. "So what are we going to do without a leader or deputy? One needs to be chosen sooner or later." Everyone went silent. Nightcloud was the first to answer Goldenpelt's question I think we should ask Honeyfur, she could discuss the issue with starclan next time at the moonpool" They agrred with her decsion and she walked off to talk with Honeyfur. She had promised that she would and she walked out of the medicing den her paws dragging on the ground with tiredness. She walked into the warriors den and started to clean her black pelt, her golden eyes staring out into the distance.

That is my decision. If you dont like it im sorry i did randomizer cause i liked both entries. Also the stories that you rped out, will not be what has actually happened. That way no drama starts of when there are no leaders in teh other clans lol. Thank you.

What you are Auditioning for: Deputy

The sun was warm and beat down steadily on the white tiger but it fill the tom with no warmth. He stood along with his patrol in horror and dismay. What had started out a small boarder skirmish of jibes thrown back and forth turned into and all out brawl with the lions.
True to his name Iceclaws fought and chased off several lions but not before one had made a fatal mistake. Iceclaws snarled, not only at the two lions stunned by what they had just done, but at his own patrol. How could this had happened?

"Leave!" Iceclaws roared. The rest of the Lions scattered scrambling back to their pride. Once they were gone the large tiger turned his icy glare to his comrades.
"Well," His voice was a low agonizing rumble, "We have to get him back to camp."
No one lifted a paw. They just continued to stare horror struck at their deputy's dead body.
"I said move!" Iceclaws bellowed, pushing through the patrol to clamp onto the corpse's scruff. The tigers snapped out of it and rushed to help him. The patrol carried their deputy back to camp in silence, dreading the return.

Pain stung Iceclaws heart at the wails of his clan mates upon their return. True to tradition the patrol hauled the body to the middle of camp so the clan could mourn. Once free of his deputy's weight Iceclaws headed straight for Sunstar's den.

"Sunstar," He said solemnly. The light tigress turned to him, curiosity on her face, and him the bearer of bad news.
"What is it?" she asked. Iceclaws dipped his head in respect to the leader he revered, the one he had idolized as a new warrior.
"Redfang is dead. Killed on accident by a Lionclan patrol. We were throwing taunts back and forth and Lightstep lost her temper. We chase them off but.." Iceclaws tailed off. During his explanation Sunstar had risen to her paws. When he was done she nodded to him and left to sit vigil for her deputy and friend. Iceclaws left the den and lay on the outskirts with with queens.

"It's tragic," whispered Hazelgrass.
"Who will be our deputy now?" Honeypelt asked.
"What do you think Iceclaws?" Hazelgrass turned to the white tom who hadn't been paying attention.
"What do I think about what?"
"About the next deputy?" She pressed.
Iceclaws stood, weary of idle gossip, "I think Sunstar will make the right choice for the clan. Who ever it may be I will support them."
"So modest," Honeypelt whispered as Iceclaws padded away.

Everyone in the clan knew how much Iceclaws wanted to be deputy. The knew he would always step up when needed. Redfang and him had always gotten into trysts but Iceclaws would never do anything to sabotage the other. He was truly torn up about the loss of his deputy, no matter how much he wanted that position. Whatever would come, would come. He would leave that decision in the paws of his capable leader. In the mean time it was his own personal obligation to comfort those of the clan who were closest to him is this time of great loss.

I am sorry Icestar, I have talked to the staff and we do not believe you are ready just yet for a leader or deputy positoin. If you wish to be a medcat you may be, but i am sorry no leader/dep for you this time. If noone has joined by the next couple of weeks, feel free to audition agian. But make sure youve posted just as a regular warrior try and get some experience here ^__^
